2012 Delhi Nirbhaya case Mukesh Singh has moved a new approach by filing a petition in the Delhi court, out of the four convicts of Nirbhaya, to avoid the execution of the upcoming March 20.
2012 Delhi Nirbhaya Case: Mukesh Singh, one of the four convicts of Nirbhaya, has filed a new plea in the Delhi court to avoid the execution on March 20. Mukesh, convicted for hanging in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case, has filed a petition in a Delhi court through his lawyer ML Sharma claiming that he was involved in a December 16, 2012 incident with Nirbhaya in Delhi. I was not alone. He has claimed in the petition that he (Mukesh) was arrested on December 17, 2012, from Rajasthan. In such a situation, he was not present in Vasant Vihar, Delhi. Simultaneously Mukesh has also accused him of harassment in Tihar Jail. At the same time, after hearing the petition of Mukesh, the court has reserved its decision.
Mukesh’s biggest trick ever
Surprisingly, Mukesh has run this maneuver just 3 days before the hanging on March 20. The question is also arising that till now why he has not filed such a petition in the court that he was not in Delhi on the spot or the day of the incident.
Earlier on Monday, the Supreme Court dismissed the plea of convict Mukesh Singh, seeking permission to use the corrective petition and mercy petition again. He said that his former lawyer Vrinda Grover had filed a corrective petition in the Supreme Court by deceiving him, which was also dismissed. If Mukesh is to be believed, his lawyer also hid the truth from him that it takes three years to file a corrective petition.
Here, let us tell you that Delhi’s Patiala House Court has issued a fourth death warrant and fixed March 20 to hang the four convicts (Vinay Kumar Sharma, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Mukesh Singh, and Akshay). The four convicts will be hanged at 5:30 in the morning of March 20 as scheduled.
