The government imposed a lockdown from 22 March to 14 April, even then these companies had increased the validity of the plan for their customers till 17 May.
Airtel, Vodafone-Idea has given great relief to all its users amid the ongoing lockdown in the country. These companies have increased the validity of all their prepaid plans till 3 May. For this, customers will not have to spend money out of pocket. That is, prepaid customers will not need to recharge the phone during lockdown. Explain that the lockdown in the country has been extended till 3 May.
Airtel, Vodafone-Idea Benefit to Users
- Airtel has increased the validity of prepaid plans of its 30 million customers till 3 May. This means that customers will continue to receive incoming calls over the phone.
- Vodafone-Idea has extended validity to its 9 million low-income users who use feature phones.
- Earlier, when the government imposed a lockdown from 25 March to 14 April, these companies had increased the validity of the plan for their customers from 17 May.
Double data offer closed
Vodafone-Idea has stopped the plan to offer double data in 8 circles of the country. Last month, the company was being offered double data in plans of Rs 249, Rs 399 and Rs 599. In this plan, users were getting 1.5 GB data and after the double data offer, 3 GB data was available. Vodafone-Idea has reported that users from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa, North East, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh (West) will no longer get double data offers.
