All OPD Departments in AIIMS will remain closed and will continue until new orders releases.
The OPD services at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS (AIIMS) have been suspended till further orders in view of the threat of corona in the entire country including Delhi. Its information has been given by AIIMS on Monday. Both the operation and OPD will now be closed at AIIMS. Only emergency services will remain operational.
Thousands of patients have suffered a major setback due to the closure of OPD services. However, AIIMS says that in view of the threat of Corona, it has been decided to discontinue the OPD service. Earlier AIIMS administration routine surgery was discontinued. Patients who have already taken time from doctors for treatment are also being sent to send messages and ask to pursue them.
12 thousand patients reach for treatment every day
Let us know that around 12 thousand patients reach AIIMS every day for treatment. They are also accompanied by two or three timbers. Therefore, a crowd of about 30 to 40 thousand people reaches daily. The AIIMS administration has taken these steps to control it.
The private ward of AIIMS has 288 rooms. Therefore, private wards are also being prepared to treat corona. AIIMS has also built 20 isolation beds in the New Emergency Center at the Trauma Center. Along with this, arrangements have been made to treat corona in the newly constructed barn and plastic surgery center. Also, 125 beds have been arranged at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Jhajjar. All major hospitals in Delhi have stopped routine surgeries and also reduced OPD registration time.
Lockdown in Delhi
The national capital has been locked down. At the same time, 16 districts including Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad have been locked up till March 25. Seven districts including Gurugram, Faridabad in Haryana will remain under lockdown till 31 March. Now metro, bus, and auto will not run in Delhi-NCR. Only people with necessary work will get an exemption from this.
What is lockdown
At the time of a disaster or epidemic, the government enforces a lockdown. If a lockdown is implemented in an area, then people are not allowed to leave their homes. Only for essential things like medicine and grains can be removed. It can also leave the house for hospital and bank work.
