No Rumors It’s Officially Announced Finally ! Nikon D6 confirmed as being in development
With less than a year remaining at the 2020 Olympic Games, and the D5 approaching its fourth birthday, many are hoping that Nikon will soon reveal that its works had a D6 DSLR – and now, it This is exactly what happened.
The company has confirmed that the model is on the way, and while it is claimed it will be its “most advanced DSLR,” less than confirmed by any specs.
There is still no word on pricing or availability, although it has confirmed that the AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f / 2.8E FL ED SR VR lens is being developed simultaneously.
The news comes after the first leaks from Nikon Europe’s social media team, which promised that the D6 would “reinforce Nikon DSLR’s advantage in sports photo journalism.”
It is the first Nikon DSLR to be confirmed for more than a year, following the D3500 launched back in August 2018. Since then, Nikon has focused more on developing the lens line for its new Z mirrorless system, and rumors of the new Z-series body continue.
