Pak vs SL: First ODI was washed out by rain, Pakistan Cricket Board took this big step before second match
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, 2nd ODI: A series of events after 10 years of Pakistan Cricket Board received a major setback on Friday. The first match of the three-match series was to be played at Karachi National Stadium but had to be canceled due to rain. After canceling the first match, the PCB has now changed the date of the second match.
The first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was to be played in Karachi. After 10 years, Pakistan has got a chance to host a series in their country. On Friday (September 27, 2019), the match played at Karachi National Stadium was rained down. Not a single ball was thrown in the match and had to be canceled.
While giving information about this, the Pakistan Cricket Board said that the decision to have the match a day before has been taken after talking to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board. He said, “The ground staff was ordered to prepare the Karachi National Stadium for the matches to be played next week. This week the out field was filled with water due to heavy rains. This ground is worth playing Gound staff will need at least two more days to build.
All three matches of the ODI series played with Sri Lanka were to be played in Karachi. After the first match is canceled, the second ODI has been decided a day before. The match was earlier scheduled to be played on Monday 30 September. It has been decided to make it a day earlier on Sunday, 29 September 2019.
