The coronavirus outbreak in India continues to grow. According to data from the Union Health Ministry till 9 am on Saturday, 355 new cases of Coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last 12 hours. This has increased the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 2,902, while the death toll has risen to 68. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, out of 2902 people, 2650 people are currently undergoing treatment while 183 people have recovered from the hospital and one has returned to their country.
6 fresh deaths in the last 12 hours
According to the latest data of the Health Ministry, till 9 am Saturday, 6 fresh deaths have also been reported in the last 12 hours. Three of them came from Maharashtra, two from Delhi and one from Gujarat.
According to the Andhra Pradesh Health Department, in the last 12 hours (till 10.30 am today), 16 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the state. A total of 80 cases have been reported in the state.
68 people died so far
Maharashtra has seen the highest number of deaths so far. 19 deaths have been reported here. This is followed by 9 in Gujarat, 7 in Telangana, 6 in Madhya Pradesh, 6 in Delhi, 5 in Punjab, 3 in Karnataka and West Bengal. There have been 2 deaths in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala. In Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh, one death each occurred due to coronavirus.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the spread of coronavirus has spread to 29 states, of which Maharashtra is the most affected state with 423 cases. Tamil Nadu is the second most affected state with 411 cases, while the number of coronavirus cases in Delhi has increased to 386 and is at number three.
