Coronavirus: Various Exams Central and State Governments Have Postponed

As the number of cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) is increasing in the country, the efforts of the government to prevent this spread are also increasing. Various examination regulators, institutes and exam organizers ranging from the Center to the State Governments have postponed the examinations to be conducted till 31 March 2020. These include board examinations, annual and semester examinations of universities, entrance examinations, recruitment examinations for various government jobs, etc. At the same time, the process has been stopped till March 31 in the states whose board examinations have been completed and the answer sheets had to be evaluated. Board exams

ICSE and ICS Board Exams: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has issued a notice on 19 March, stalling the ICSE 2020 and ISC 2020 examinations till 31 March. The examinations were to end by 30 and 31 March. See full details

Haryana Board 10th 12th Exams 2020: Board of School Education, Haryana has canceled the 10th and 12th board examinations to be held from March 19 to March 31. See full details

UP Board: Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council, Prayagraj has postponed the process of evaluation of answer sheets of high school and intermediate board examinations till April 2. The assessment will now be done from 3 April 2020. See full details

At the same time, all the students up to class 8 in the state of Uttar Pradesh will be promoted to the next class without taking the exam.

CBSE Exams: CBSE recently issued notice to postpone the examinations to be held at scheduled examination centers in India and abroad. A new schedule may be released by the Board on 31 March 2020 after the evaluation of the situation. At the same time, the re-examination to be conducted for North-East candidates has also been postponed.

In the state of Goa also, all students up to class 8 will be promoted to the next class without taking the exam. All schools in Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, etc., including Delhi, are closed.

Entrance exams

JEE Main 2020: The JEE Mains Exam 2020 to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been postponed. The examination was to be held from 5 to 11 April 2020. The new exam date can be announced on 31 March. See full details

Universities and colleges examinations

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a notice on 19 March 2020 asking all the universities in the country to postpone the examinations of various courses in their own and related colleges and institutes till 31 March 2020. See full details

IAF (CASB) Group X and Y 2020: The Central Air Force Selection Board (CASB) of the Indian Air Force has postponed the examination to be held for Group X and Y posts (Notification Number – Star 01/2020). See full details

What will happen after 31 March 2020?

In such a situation, there is doubt among students and candidates as well as the employees related to the parrots, the teacher’s exam, regarding all these exams. It is expected that these examinations or procedures will be resumed once the situation becomes normal after 31 March 2020 due to the efforts of the government.
