Earlier, the Parental Control Service was offered in a single app which was equally established on parents and children’s devices. The current app has now become a family link for parents second app, family link for children and adolescents has been introduced. After installing on a child’s device, parents can control it directly from their mobile’s dedicated app.
Previously, the family link was designed for children under 13 years of age. Switching to a pair of apps has teenage monitoring controls, which were announced a few days ago. Already it has to retreat from teenagers with reviews on the Play Store, resulting in today’s rating of 1.9 out of 5 for children and adolescent app and 4.4 out of 5 for Google Family Link for parents app.

This is the latest in a string of family link service updates. In April, Chromebook support was added and since then, Google has expanded the service in global rollout. It recently added support for 26 EU countries, brought European Union to 28 for compliance with the European GDPR. After this most recent expansion, family links are now available worldwide, but it can be “limited in some countries.”
