The government has previously sold cheap and power saving LED bulbs under the flagship of Ujala Scheme. They Modi government is taking continuous efforts to reduce power consumption. But, providing cheap ACs will be a huge step. The government is considering this project as an effort to conserve energy.
UPTO 30 PERCENT CHEAP ACs
As per reports, the government will provide 15 to 30 percent concession. The most important thing is that it will consume 30 to 45 percent less electricity. These ACs will be better than 5-star ACs that are available in the market. As per PM, the government electrified all India villages in 2016 but they do not receive power supply. If we save power, it will light up their life.
The default temperatures of these ACs will be 24 to 26 degree Celsius and could be lowered up to 16 degrees. Default temperature will save more energy.
