Recently, Social media giant Facebook has gone through a re branding exercise. In their official blog post, the chief marketing officer of the Facebook, Antonio Lucio, commented that the Facebook is aiming to separate the products that come from Facebook form the company itself. The organization is set to update its company branding.
The new logo has been designed with extra clarity and it is optimized in such a way that it uses custom typography and capitalization in order to visualizing distinction between the app and the company. The re branding is done to make clear that the subsidiaries offered by the company are the part of the parent company.

The brand’s new logo has the name of the social networking site that is written all in the capital alphabets. The main goal to update the company logo is to separate the social networking app fromFacebook company.

To get the new logo of the Facebook, you have to open your desktop. Then right click on any empty space. The drop down menu will open up. Click “new” and then press the “shortcut”. a new bar will be shown on your screen . Type “www.facebook.com “ in the bar and then go to the “next” option sated on the page.
The re-branding means that the apps offered by the Facebook like Instagram and WhatsApp will say that they are a product of the Facebook in their branding.
The BusinessLine commented that updating the new logo is a planned move to distinguish the created product from the creators and create homogeneity in all that.
According to Ashish Mishra, Managing Director, Inter brand India said to business-line, it was a great strategic move. In their statement they stated that this step was productive for the organization as corporate brand and as the inhibitor of the WhatsApp and Instagram. This step was indeed a strategic move as it will help in the continuation of the equity flow among all the powerful brands aiding in the risae of their brands values.
