The reason behind discontinuing the smartphone is the recently launched affordable iPhone SE (2020) by Apple. As we said, Apple is no longer planning to bring new stock for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus 64GB models in the country. The company has also updated its website, after which now only the listing of the 128GB model of the iPhone 8 Plus is visible on the website.
The iPhone SE (2020) price in India has also been revealed, but the sale of the smartphone has not been announced due to the ban on e-commerce sales due to lockdown. The iPhone SE (2020) is expected to be available for sale in the country shortly after the lockdown ends. Its price starts at Rs 42,500. The new iPhone with a price of Rs 42,500 is similar to the iPhone 8 in terms of specification. Even the processor and some other features included in it match the iPhone 11.
The sale of iPhone 7 will continue with iPhone SE (2020), iPhone 8 Plus 128GB, iPhone 11 Series, and iPhone X Series. iPhone 7 prices are still listed on Apple’s website, which is Rs 31,500 for the 32 GB model and Rs 36,800 for the 128 GB model.
