On Friday, the IPL governing council chairman Brijesh Patel informed the media that IPL 2020 will start from 19th September and will conclude on 8 November.
Earlier, the BCCI hinted at UAE being the venue for the 13th edition of Indian premier league as the increasing cases of coronavirus had made it impossible to hold inside India.
BCCI got an offer from the Emirates Cricket Board and SLC to fix the venue in UAE as the claimed that they have all the necessary infrastructure and resources.
After the ICC postponed Men’s T20 world cup, the slot got vacant and the IPL board decided to schedule its 13th edition in the time.
The ICC world was scheduled to happen from October 18 to November 15, now the IPL will happen in its place from September 19 to November 8.
The information about the departure of playing teams and the schedule will be published in the following IPL Governing Council meeting that will be held on next week.
