Is Government Reading Your Whatsapp Message?

WhatsApp has also become a source of news and other information for many people like some other major social media platforms. But like most social media platforms, there is an excessive spread of misinformation and fake news here. Recently, a message is going viral in WhatsApp, in which wrong information has been given about the number and color of ‘ticks’. It has been said in this message that the government is monitoring all the messages being broadcast. This fake message has now been canceled by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Twitter. PIB is a government agency, which informs the media about government schemes, policies etc.

PIB handles its Twitter It has been told that the message spreading on social media, which has given information about the ‘tick’ mark of WhatsApp, is completely fake. The tweet has also been assured that the government is not doing any kind of work like tracking the message. PIB has also asked people to stay away from such fake messages.

Those of you who do not know about this viral message, tell them that in this fake message that is going viral, “WhatsApp has implemented a new system so that users can find out how they The message being sent is not being monitored by the government or whether the government can take action on the message or not. In this message, the number and color of ticks in the message is also mentioned.

According to the fake message, if the message sent by the user contains three blue ticks, it means that the government is keeping an eye on its message. If two blue and one red tick, it means that the sender can act against them. If one blue and two red ticks occur, it means that the government is checking the data of the message sender. Finally, if three red ticks occur, the government has started the action and the sender will receive a summons from the court.

However, PIB has made it clear in its tweet that the government is not doing anything like this and this viral message is completely fake. Please tell that WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted, so neither the government nor even WhatsApp can read the messages of the users.
