JioMart is soon to Launch as a reliance new e-commerce venture. It is predicted it will take over Amazon and Flipkart. it is offering various benefits such as express delivery, free home delivery for no minimum order value and easy returns.
The Jiomart is evolving as the prime choice of buyers that will soon replace Amazon and Flipkart. It was earlier known as reliance industries limited as a much-touted e-commerce hub. This new e-commerce venture which is operated by reliance retail, the real arm of RIL has recently launched a pilot for their customers in different places like Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Kalyan. they are planning to expand themselves across the whole of India. the RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani quoted it by calling it “new commerce initiative” last year to hint at the company’s new venture. the company that is based on Mumbai, aims to connect over three crores of offline retail stores and over 20 crores of households in the country by their latest venture.
To boost its e-commerce operations, pre-registration has been started for JioMart by Reliance Retail. This venture is endorsed to give a portfolio of over 50,000 grocery products. this venture has come up with other offerings such as free home delivery for no minimum order value, easy returns, and express delivery. on the official Jiomart website, the venture is specified as ” Desh ki Dukaan”. the extra benefits offered by Jiomart will persuade the customers who were initially using Amazon and Flipkart for grocery shopping.
As per the recent reports, the Jio users get an invite to join Jiomart from the reliance retail and to avail of preliminary discounts. the official website for the venture that the early customers would get cash benefits of Rs 3,000/- for the pre-registration.
the Jiomart is planning to build the online-to-offline (o2o)marketplace through which it will source groceries to the nearby merchants as like what Amazon prime Now is doing or grofers was doing earlier. this indicates that the new venture will evolve as a platform for offline retailers to host the online-focused customers in their respective locality.
the beta trials with thousands of merchants as far as multiple locations inside the country set the ground for the premise of new commerce with an observable increase in sales and enhancements in margins for participating merchants. they said they are ready to roll out the platform on the big scale. this was quoted by the Ambani in 42nd AGM in the early months of the previous year.
It is also in the news that JioMart will host products like daily staples, shampoos, soaps, and other related household items. if this happens then it will pose a great threat for the Amazon’s Prime Now, that claims to offer two hour delivery for their users. further, the JioMart website informs that reliance is set to bring special Android and iOS apps in the near future. JioMart will facilitate the uses to use their services and to place their orders directly from their mobile phones. we approached the reliance retail for more clarification on the development process and we will soon update whenever we hear from them.
To augment its e-commerce venture, reliance in march agreed to acquire logistics services platform Grab A Grub.the company was found to deal with software company C-Square that provides solutions to distributors, online e-commerce, retailers and sales force automation. further in acquisitions particularly concentrated on online retail operations, reliance is policing its presence in the area of artificial intelligence and the internet of things to develop a better experience for e-commerce customers.
