One such case has come up in the country’s capital, Delhi. During the lockdown, a woman named Mahek gave birth to a daughter. Neither had the money or the means to go to the hospital, 22-year-old Mehak and her husband Gopal are residents of a village in Nainital, Uttarakhand. They work as laborers in a building in the town hall area of Old Delhi. But now everything is closed due to lockdown. Mehek says that eating only once in two days is destined. Father does not stop Gopal’s tears after seeing his daughter.
