Dimensity 800, is a new chipset announced by MediaTek in their recent product communication conference. The chipset is designed to be installed in mid-range and upper range smartphones and it will be available to smartphone manufacturers soon in 2020.
Despite the actual launch of the chipsets, MediaTek is yet to reveal the official specifications of the chipset, which should come our way by early 2020. The MediaTek doesn’t confirm whether their new Dimensity 800 chipsets will be supported by 5G connectivity or not. But as it is expected, the 5G connectivity will be flaunted in all the models of 2020.
So, there is a great possibility that the Dimensity chipsets will also offer 5G modem compatibility to liven up on the trendiest norms of the mainstream devices. The new chipsets like Dimensity 1000 flagship chipsets are announced as a part of the new chipset portfolio from MediaTek. On the launch event, the Dimensity 1000 was compared to its rival chipset makers such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and HiSilicon Kirin 990 by MediaTek itself.
Dimensity 1000 chipset is situated below the flagship SKU, in this way, the Dimensity 1000 chip will rival directly from the competitor chipsets like Qualcomm’s snapdragon 7 series. Present chipsets are seen as the application in the large number of devices like Redmi K20 mid-range smartphone from Xiaomi.
It will be adventurous to see the technical configuration of the Dimensity 800 chipset. The Dimensity 1000 is powered by ARM’s latest-generation cortex-A77 cores, together with the Mali-G77 GPU fabricated by ARM. Thus, we can assume that the dimension 1000 will feature inferior cores and the power consumption differences as per the market standards. While the MediaTek is not publicizing about the devices which will be able to use new chipsets but the technophiles are assuring us that all the mid-ranged devices will be privileged to install them in their systems.
