Nirbhaya’s culprits have again taken a trick to avoid being hanged. This time, out of the four Nirbhaya convicts, three have knocked on the door of the International Court. As the date of execution is drawing to a close, restlessness among the guilty of Nirbhaya is increasing. As the date of death draws to a close, new applicants are seeking to stop all the executions by filing separate applications in different places. Three of the four convicts this time, Vinay, Pawan, and Akshay have turned to the International Court.

What is the international court of justice?

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) was created by the Charter of the United Nations in June 1945. However, it started its work from April 1946. Explain that it is a major judicial body of the United Nations. The headquarters of the International Court of Justice is located in the Peace Palace of The Hague (Netherlands).

When and where will be hanged?

According to the death warrant issued by the Delhi Court, all these convicts are to be hanged in Tihar Jail on 20 March. The hanging will take place at half-past five in the morning. Earlier, the Delhi court had issued a death warrant for his death. But every time, by getting the legal bets screwed, these convicts were canceling their death warrant. The court has issued a fourth warrant this time, according to which it is to be executed on March 20.

The four convicts of Nirbhaya had earlier sent a mercy petition to the President which was not accepted by the President. Now after this, the families of the four convicts have written a letter to the President, demanding willful death.

What is the matter?

On that black night of 16 December 2012, there was a disgraceful act in Delhi that shook the whole of India. A paramedical student was gang-raped in a moving bus in which four convicts Mukesh, Pawan, Vinay and Akshay were sentenced to death. After this case, protests were held in almost every state across the country including Delhi to punish Nirbhaya convicts.
