Now it’s Coming OnePlus TV Will Sport 8 Speakers With 50W Output Combined, Dolby Atmos Support
The wait is almost over!More OnePlus TV specifications confirmed via Amazon India listing
OnePlus is finally moving beyond smartphones and accessories with the upcoming OnePlus TV. The Amazon listing page is now live revealing some more important information and specifications about it.
OnePlus TV will be the company’s first flagship product which is not a smartphone. Company executives mentioned how the smart TV space is not really new and how OnePlus can bring a new “fast and smooth” experience to the region.
The landing page of OnePlus TV is now live on Amazon India a few weeks before the expected launch in India. While we still don’t know what the TV will look like, we now have an idea of some of the hardware specifications and software features on this page.
For starters, India will get a 55-inch variant which is ideal for the average Indian household. It will be a QLED panel known to dramatically improve brightness and colors. There is also support for Dolby Vision for better HDR (high dynamic range) viewing experience with better bright and darker blacks. When it comes to visualization, Dolby Vision is the much gold standard.
Moving on to the audio side of things, the OnePlus TV will sport a total of 8 speakers for an output of 50 watts, which is higher than traditional TVs. Once again, the audio will be tuned by Dolby Atmos for an immersive, three-dimensional surround sound experience. It also relies on source material, but is great regardless.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus TV will be based on Google’s Android TV operating system, but with its own layer on top. It will have Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in, as well as access to Google Play to download additional apps and content. Televisions can be controlled through voice commands such as weather, calendar, controlling smart home devices, and even watching specific shows and movies.
OnePlus’ vision includes creating a network of smart, connected Android devices, and will also have some kind of synchronization and integration with the OnePlus smartphone integration.
Reports suggested that OnePlus TV would be unveiled in India on 26 September, before making its way into other markets in the coming weeks. There is no word on pricing, but the TV can be expected to be slightly more affordable than other manufacturers with equally specified offerings.
