Xiaomi is about to launch the Redmi Note 9 today and the alleged specifications and renders of the Redmi Note 9 have leaked online just hours before the online launch event. It is claimed that the upcoming Redmi phone will come in at least two storage variants and it will have three different color variants. Apart from this, leaked renders show that the Redmi Note 9 will have a camera cutout on the top left corner and the smartphone will be equipped with a quad rear camera setup. Redmi Note 9 will be the fourth model of its series. Earlier, the company has launched Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in this series. The Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max have also been launched in India.

The tipster has claimed that the Redmi Note 9 will have dual-sim support and a 6.53-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,340 pixels) IPS display, equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is said that the smartphone will include the Octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and it will come with 3 GB and 4 GB RAM. Both these variants will be equipped with 64 GB and 128 GB onboard storage respectively. Apart from this, it has also been claimed that the smartphone will come with a quad rear camera setup, which will reportedly feature a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor with F / 1.79 aperture. Its other sensors will include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with F / 2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with F / 2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Redmi Note 9 claims to have a 13-megapixel front camera for the selfie. The smartphone will have a 5,020mAh battery with 18 watts charging support (22.5W charger included in the box). It is also said that the smartphone’s storage can be increased to 128 GB. Apart from this, the connectivity options included in the Redmi Note 9 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared (IR) Blaster, NFC, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Apart from the specification, the tipster has also shared the renders and if these renders are from the Redmi Note 9, then we also get information about the design of the upcoming phone. Renders suggest that the phone will have a hole-punch display with thick bezels. It will also have a fingerprint sensor available, which will be set in the back of the phone unlike the side-mounted fingerprint sensor included in other Redmi Note 9-series phones. There will also be an LED flash next to the camera setup.

Xiaomi will Livestream an online event tonight at 8:00 pm UST (5:30 pm IST), in which the company will launch some of its smartphones globally. Redmi Note 9 is also expected to be launched in this event. Along with the new Redmi phone, the company can also launch Mi Note 10 Lite.
