An Influential public Figure
Chandro Tomar, who got famous by a nick name Revolver Dadi, is an inhabitant of village Johri in the Bagpat district in the state of Uttar Pradesh inside India. She has now become an influential public figure.
Her story shows that talent can’t be bounded by any age bar. She, at the age of 65, earned a name for her in octogenarian sharp shooting.
Her story starts from her house while she and her granddaughter, shefali, went to the neighborhood riffle club. Shefali got nervous after she picked up the rifle to shot a target. After seeing her granddaughter getting nervous, the chandro tomar picked up the shooting gun and shot the target and at the moment to encourage the child beside her. And when everyone approached to the paper to see exactness of her target, they found that she scored exact 10. The exactness of her target, surprised everybody and she got very much appreciation for that. And she, after this incident started her career at the age of 65 after this incident.
She endeavored to make career in the shooting. In order to practice keeping her arms straight, she started to do practice using her home utensils. For practicing, she used to fill a jug of water and hold that with straight arms like holding a riffle. She does practiced yoga to work on her focus. She used to project stones inside water bottles placed at a fixed target.
She used to do her practice all in her domestic area without hurting anyone. The people in her village, when they get to know about her new passion, discouraged her. They started to pull her legs but she was determined. Her neighbors used to mock on her and they make fun of her by saying that she was very old for this passion. The chandro tomar’s determination wont got affected by that. She consistently invested her labor in her passion and shined up in the whole world by winning medals in the rural Olympics 2001.
She didn’t get upset by the criticism she encountered in the days of her struggle in initial days. But she transformed her critiques to her appreciators by winning up the medals and sets an example for rest of the world that if you are determined then no boundary can restrict you from achieving you goal. She is now known as Revolver Dadi.
Now, the chandro tomar is eight six years old. She is pampering her fifteen grandchildren and has added many more medals in her treasure. She is beating her rivals continuously at the matches and giving free training to the young girls. Now, her students are winning championships over the world. The young girls admire her and think that if she can do then they also can do that.
