Bangladesh team is scheduled to play three T20 matches and two Tests in India. The two-Test series will be part of the ICC Test Championship. Bangladesh team’s three-match T20 series against India will start from November 3.
According to the report of Bangladesh’s leading Bangla newspaper ‘Samakal’, Shakib is being kept away from practice by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) only after ICC directive. This is the reason that neither he was a part of the practice match nor did he participate in the meeting with the Chairman of BCB on Monday evening. This meeting was organized to discuss the Pink Ball Test under the series. According to the newspaper’s claim, Shakib received a fixing offer from Bookie about two years ago but he did not inform the ICC’s Anti Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU). According to the newspaper, Shakib has acknowledged this before the investigating officers of ACSU. According to protocol, if a player receives any such offer, it has to inform the ICC but Shakib Al Hasan did not do so.
