The Process Is Still in Development
The social message and video calling app, WhatsApp is seen to work on its new “delete messages” feature in which a specified time can opt on the app and after the specified time, all chats will be deleted automatically. The feature is seen in the development for android devices but it will soon be available for the iOS devices as well. The WhatsApp app is planning to change the course about how its “delete messages” feature works, they are planning to change it in as a cleaning tool for groups. The feature will aid the admins to perform their roles by deleting groups chat after a while. This feature helps the admins by managing the storage issues and deleting the old chats.
Initially, the delete messages feature is spotted in the latest iOS beta version 220.127.116.11/24. The tipsters are informing us that the feature has been removed initially from the app and it can be found only in the group chats. In group chats, only admins will have the liberty to enable or disable the settings and they will be given the authority to decide the time frame when the messages will be deleted. The currently updated feature will help in deleting the messages from the group automatically and it can also save up large MBs of data on your phone. But there is no news when the feature will be officially released for testing. The WhatsApp dark mode feature is also not got disclosed by the WhatsApp till now. WhatsApp dark mode feature release date is still undercover and people are waiting and wondering about it.
This feature is a boon for those WhatsApp groups which get burdened up with too many chats and these old chats eat up a significant part of phone storage. This eaten up storage later affects the functioning by slowing down the performance of the app and the phone. As it was already mentioned above, the admins of the group will have the authority to chose the time frame, they can choose from one hour to one-year whatever suits best to them.
