Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Redmi 70-inch TV to launch on August 29
Will Redmi Note 8 have a 64MP camera?
Xiaomi is going to announce the Redmi Note 8 with its 70-inch Redmi TV at an event on 29 August in China. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun went to Weibo and revealed a poster of the upcoming Redmi TV 70 inches.
A user has asked him in the comments section whether we can expect to see the Note 8 on the same day, to which Jun replied with a thumbed emoji.
While this is not an official confirmation, it is most definitely an indication in the Redmi Note 8 series that is said to be in development. Lei Jun has previously teased some key areas that the company is working on to succeed the Redmi Note 7 series. These include advanced cameras, efficient battery performance and more screen estate to play around.
Xiaomi has also previously revealed that they are planning to bring phones with 64MP camera sensors, so we can see that on one of the Redmi Note 8 phones.
Coming to Redmi TV, we know through the details on the poster that it is going to feature Humos with a 70-inch display. While it is still unknown, the TV should be 4K given its size and will be powered by a patchwall OS like other Xiaomi TVs. There are also rumors about the 40-inch Redmi TV, so we can also see that during the event on 29 August.
We will keep an eye on the development of the region and tell you that we are close to the launch day.
